Safeguarding
Safeguarding at our school
The School and Trust fully recognise the contribution they can make to protect children and support pupils in the Trust. The pupils’ welfare and safety is of paramount importance. The aim of the School and Trust's policies and systems are to safeguard and promote our pupils’ welfare, safety and health by fostering an honest, open, caring and supportive climate and relationships with stakeholders and external agencies.
Staff in our Trust are made aware that Safeguarding issues 'could and do happen here,' and they are trained to understand what possible indicators for abuse and neglect may look like. They will always act in the best interests of the child and will have a conversation with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) when a concern arises. We have a comprehensive electronic record-keeping system to ensure all matters are recorded effectively.

Radicalisation and Extremism
Protecting children from radicalisation and extremism is similar to protecting them from the other harms we may be more familiar with, such as drugs, gangs and sexual exploitation. If you have any concerns about a child becoming radicalised you can report them to Northants Police here: Refer someone to the Prevent Team | Northamptonshire Police (northants.police.uk).
Please see our policy on our policies page.

Early Help Advice for Parents
There are a number of measures in place to help protect children's safety and wellbeing. They are designed to give you or your child the help you need as quickly as possible to stop issues getting worse. If you think your family could benefit from early help, you can contact your midwife, your child’s health visitor, children’s centre, school or request an Early Help Assessment (EHA) by getting in touch with our helpdesk: Email: earlyhelpadvice@nctrust.co.uk.
Mrs Allcott and Mrs Crofts can also complete an Early Help Assessment with you. Please ask for more details.
